No Tricks, Just Treats: Brewing Up Deeper Thinking in Upper Elementary RLA
Step into the classroom cauldron and conjure up high-level rigor without the stress! Designed for elementary RLA educators, this session demonstrates how to leverage the Depth and Complexity icons and thinking lenses to transform standard literacy tasks into rich, critical thinking experiences. Move beyond surface-level comprehension and discover how to guide students in analyzing patterns, unearthing ethics, evaluating multiple perspectives, and examining big ideas within complex texts. You will walk away with practical, classroom-ready strategies to brew up deep, engaging student discourse and spooky-good reading and writing routines.
