Superintendent ACP - Educational Politics and Community Relations
Led by Amy Dodson, M.Ed., Dean of Advocacy for Raise Your Hand Texas, this 6-hour session equips EPP candidates to navigate the increasingly complex intersection of school governance, state politics, and grassroots advocacy. Drawing on nearly three decades of K-12 and higher education experience, Dodson shares actionable strategies for engaging state legislators, building local community coalitions, and championing public education priorities. Candidates will learn how to effectively communicate district needs, mobilize community stakeholders, and maintain proactive public relations amid shifting political landscapes. This workshop empowers future superintendents to serve as influential, articulate advocates for their schools and communities.
