This introductory training session is designed to provide a foundational overview of Private Nonprofit (PNP) equitable services requirements under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) statute. Participants will learn key concepts such as equitable services federal requirements, school and student eligibility, timely and meaningful consultation, allowable services, and required documentation. The session includes a high level TEA monitoring perspective to help staff understand how equitable services requirements are evaluated and why strong systems and documentation matter for compliance.
