Experienced LPAC Members LPAC/Title III Updates
The Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) provides clarification of legal requirements integrating State and Federal Laws to (TAC) Chapter 89 of the Commissioner's Rules Concerning the Education of Limited English Proficiency Students. New information that affects the LPAC process and a review of basic procedures will be covered. The purpose of this session is to equip district/school personnel and build capacity for the purpose of establishing the mandated process to meet the needs of Emergent Bilingual students. Entry and exit procedures, placement, and assessment decisions will be reviewed in detail.
