School Counselors: Equipping Students with Executive Functioning Skills
We’ve all seen it: the overflowing locker, the "lost" homework that was never actually lost, and the bright student who simply cannot start a task. For pre-teens and teens, Executive Functioning (EF) is often the missing link between potential and performance. This workshop is designed to move school counselors beyond theory and into the actual "how-to" of supporting student brain development. Participants will explore executive functioning skills, the "why" behind the struggle and build a toolkit to use when working with students in guidance lessons and small groups.
