Bringing Biology to Life: Hands-On Strategies for the Modern Classroom in High School
This workshop offers educators a comprehensive immersion into cellular biology, genetics, evolutionary theory, and the vast diversity of life. Participants will engage with rigorous, TEKS-aligned laboratory activities and demonstrations designed for immediate classroom integration. This experience will help students understand how organisms maintain homeostasis, cycle matter and energy, and respond to their environment.
Special instructions
This workshop will be held at Cisco College/Abilene Campus located at 717 Industrial Blvd, Abilene.
Support from miniPCR will include two lab sessions:
Diagnosing Sickle Cell Disease and Does baby Marie have sickle cell disease? Join us for a hands-on workshop using gel electrophoresis to track sickle cell inheritance through a family. Available as a hands-on electrophoresis
Please bring a charged device.
