Rocking the Cosmos: A Deep Dive into Earth & Space TEKS for Middle School Science
Connect the cosmos to the crust in this Vertical Alignment Deep Dive! We will explore the progression of Earth and Space concepts across middle school, linking Earth's layers and plate tectonics (6.10, 7.10) to the weather and ocean systems that shape our world (7.11, 8.10). The journey continues upward as we break down the mechanics of seasons, tides, and gravity (6.9, 7.9) and expand to the mysteries of the universe (8.9). Participants will examine the vertical flow of these standards and gather resources to help students visualize systems on both a planetary and cosmic scale.

This workshop will be hosted at Cisco College/Abilene Campus located at 717 Industrial Blvd, Abilene.
