CPI Initial and Refresher Intermediate: Blended Learning In Person Training
The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program is a comprehensive crisis management system based on the philosophy of providing the best care, welfare, safety, and security for staff and those in their care. Participants will be trained to recognize the warning signs that often precede student escalation into crisis, learn verbal de-escalation techniques, and practice techniques to provide for student safety and security. Participants must complete all exercises and demonstrate required competency in this two-day workshop to receive certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI). Participants are expected to meet both written and physical standards.
This is the in person portion of the CPI blended training and will be conducted at Region 14 ESC. You must have completed the online portion (online modules count as the 1st part of training) before attending this session. Online login information will be sent the week before the in person session.
Special instructions
*You must complete online modules & attend the entire in-person session to receive a certification in this course* If you cannot physically participate, you will not receive a certification. ONLINE portion MUST be completed prior to attending in-person. You will not be allowed to attend the training if all sections of the online course have not been completed. Please wear closed-toe shoes and dress casually.

Registering with purchase orders

A confirmation email will be sent once the purchase order is processed (generally within 4 business hours), and you will be able to complete your registration.
An invoice will be issued after the session is completed.
Cancellation deadline
You may cancel this registration anytime before the end of business on January 8, 2026.
