Big Country Legal Conference - "Turning Meltdowns into Milestones in 50 First Dates"
Join us for the 18th annual Big Country Legal Conference! Angela Kirkpatrick, retired special education director and campus principal, and Kaylyn Kirkpatrick, special education attorney at Walsh Gallegos, invite you to a memorable and engaging session designed with you in mind. This mother-daughter duo will provide both the legal knowledge and the user-friendly tools for training district and campus-level staff to address the full continuum of student needs. Participants in this interactive training will leave with a plethora of strategies that can be used immediately to: identify and respond to student meltdowns; plan for the lessons and practice opportunities designed to meet measurable milestones; utilize learned strategies to effectively report PLAAFPs and design ambitious goals; and ensure legally sound practices that build cohesion between the general education and special education teams.
