Connecting Communication and Instruction for Students with Complex Access Needs
This comprehensive training, developed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), focuses on implementing effective practices in Social Communication (aligned with Quality Indicator V of the Rubric of Effective Practices for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities).
Participants will explore critical considerations for developing and acquiring communication aids and systems, learn actionable strategies for teaching essential communication skills, and discover practical ways to connect communication goals directly to classroom instruction.
