Counselor Consortium: Responding to a Crisis of a Student or Staff Member
Attending this workshop will help prepare participants to respond on their campus in the event of a crisis or death of a student/staff member. Members of the ESC 14 Care Team will walk counselors through digital and physical resources to help prepare participants to navigate crisis response. Counselors will also learn some "clinical" skills to put into practice in supporting grief recovery. While no one ever wants to have to respond to a student or staff death, this workshop is designed to help participants be prepared to rally around their staff and students when faced with the unimaginable.
