Navigating Success: How do I advise for student success?
Dr. Ernest Cox Jr. is an education consultant who specializes in school counseling, organizational
leadership, and school based mental health. He has served as a task force member who rewrote the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs, 5th Edition and was a co-chair for the re-writing of the Texas Evaluation for Professional School Counselors – 3rd Edition Task Force. He is currently the Co-Chair for the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs, 6th Edition. Dr. Ernest Cox will present an overview of the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs (CSCP) 5th edition, the Texas Evaluation Model for Professional School Counselors, and other programmatic components to support the implementation and development of a Comprehensive School Counseling Program and the Effective Advising Framework.
Additionally, any district participating or interested in learning about the Effective Advising Framework (EAF) is strongly encouraged to attend.
