Summer Blast Day 1: A Toolkit for Understanding and Dealing with Trauma and Stress in Children
This presentation will take an in-depth look into what is Childhood Trauma, what is Childhood stress, and the best tools of how to communicate and deal with the child experiencing the anxiety. The presentation will be an all-day event to peel back layers of the different ways children deal with trauma in their brains and in their response systems. The books “Shattered by the Darkness: Putting the Pieces Back Together After Child Abuse” and “When Dark Clouds Come: The Road Map to HOPE” will be used as the foundational tools to present the information and will help each person to develop a new understand and various approaches on how to best help children that have been traumatized. The training event will also deal with the importance of creating a trauma-informed approach while realizing the importance of equity and equality in each and every person within their group.

**Participants will receive a copy of BOTH books!!**
