Structuring the Classroom through the Use of Visual Strategies
Learn how to structure your classroom for all students! Research has shown that concrete visual teaching methods are recommended for students with disabilities in order for them to be successful in the educational setting. Visual supports are tools that are used to increase the understanding of language and environmental expectations and to provide structure and support. Visual supports can be provided in a variety of ways across multiple settings. Participants will demonstrate knowledge of visual supports and why they are useful to support learning and success within the inclusive classroom. This session is aligned with the Instructional Strategies component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment.
