AACtivating Communication: Dynamic Assessment and Intervention & Give Me 5! Tools for LAMP
The world of AAC can feel overwhelming and daunting. There are so many low-tech strategies, high tech devices, features to match, and language programs to consider that we often aren’t sure where to begin. This course will highlight research on pediatric use of AAC as well as provide evidence-based ways to support AAC use with children of all ability levels. In addition, best practices for ongoing assessment and progress reporting will be discussed, and participants can participate in in-depth discussion related to case studies which provide real world examples of how feature matching and evidence-based strategy implementation can help to re-invent successful communication for the children we serve.
Learn about 5 great tools to teach and implement the Unity and LAMP Words for Life Vocabularies.
