Linking All K-2 Writers to 3rd Grade STAAR: Skilled Sentence Construction Day One
Introducing the essential step in 3rd Grade STAAR Writing Success for All. Join Donna Scherr for Day One of the Linking All K-2 Writers to 3rd Grade STAAR Series. Over two days, participants will learn and apply a systematic and explicit approach to early writing that will enable STAAR success for all learners, including ELs and students identified with learning disabilities. On Day One, participants learn six sentence construction activities that easily fit within any curriculum and across the day. On Day Two, participants learn paragraph construction. Participants must attend a Day One session to attend any Day Two session. Participants must bring a text they will use in the upcoming school year. It is essential. Day Two will be in December! Special instructions
Please bring a text or materials you intend to teach in the upcoming school year. You will apply every strategy to a text you will use. There may be some books available for you to use if they are valuable to use. You must bring a text however.
