Southern Methodist University Teaching Free Enterprise TX: Personal Financial Literacy I, II, & III
The Bridwell Institute developed the Teaching Free Enterprise program to help Texas school teachers develop the knowledge and expertise they need to meet the Texas Economics K-12 TEKS regarding Free Enterprise in classroom instruction. Professors from Texas universities will present the TFE modules and lunch will be included! Come learn about instructional resources and methods to use when teaching the Personal Financial Literacy TEKS in your classroom!

Modules included in this session will be...
> > Regional Development Economics (Microeconomics) How local economies contribute or deter to the economic
ripples created by the choices individuals and groups make in response trade-offs, inflation, employment and
scarcity
> > Personal Financial Literacy I: Budgets, Saving and Retirement
> > Personal Financial Literacy II: Investing, Insurance, Real Estate and Loans
> > Personal Financial Literacy III: More Budgeting, Saving, Investing, and Retirement
