Grief and Trauma Response Workshop
In this workshop, we will discuss how teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, administrators, and other school personnel can address grief on their campus' and districts. This includes grief from accidental deaths and deaths by suicide. We will discuss how to aid students in their response as well as self-care for faculty and staff. Topics that will be addressed include administrative response, crisis team response, grief rooms, grief debrief protocols, as well as Postvention in the case of suicide.
Material will be made available for download prior to workshop as well as some material will be provided in workshop.
Special instructions
This workshop will discuss topics such as death by suicide as well as accidental death. If information in these areas are triggers for you, please be mindful that this information will be discussed and take appropriate steps for self-care during and after this workshop.
