Behavioral Threat Assessment
This one-day workshop on school threat assessment will present a step-by-step process for addressing threatening and other potentially dangerous behavior in school or that could impact a school. It will also teach participants how to respond to threatening behavior and other disturbing behavior, gather additional information, make an assessment, and take preventive steps if necessary.

The workshop is appropriate for school personnel, school security professionals, law enforcement professionals, mental health professionals, and others who may be tasked with addressing threatening behavior in school.

Topics covered during the workshop include:
Understanding School Violence and Implications for Prevention
Steps in the Threat Assessment Process
Developing and Implementing Case Management Plans
Tabletop Exercise
Steps to Develop a School Threat Assessment Program
Special instructions
This course is a requirement for members of campus/district Safe and Supportive School Program Team (SSSP Team).
Individual members of your school's SSSP Team are welcomed; however, it would be beneficial if all members of the team participate in this workshop.
