K-1 Early Reading Essentials: R14 Literacy Collaborative
Come join the new R14 Literacy Collaborative for K-1 educators. All K-1 educators are welcome. If you attended a Literacy Academy, please feel free to bring your binder. If not, you will receive appropriate materials. We will review two of the essential concepts in early literacy-Phonological Awareness and Phonics. We'll especially focus on alphabet arcs and the need to introduce phoneme-grapheme mapping into your phonics curriculum. As part of the collaborative, participants will be asked to assess students and share their data. In return, participants will receive some small group materials to ensure success. Seeing students' growth and sharing with others is part of joining the collaborative. This same session on early literacy is a repeat of the October 3rd session. Please bring a digital device and headphones so you can teach others!
Special instructions
Bring any digital device and a set of headphones to support your learning. Leave with materials to support your small group instruction in alphabet knowledge.
