West TX Cluster TVI Conference - Ready Bodies Learning Minds
Ready Body, Learning Minds teaches the powerful connection between motor and sensory development and the ability to perform tasks necessary for independence, behavioral control, and academic achievement. This training is designed for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments and the "team" of professionals working with these students - OT, PT, Speech, classroom teacher, & paras.
Training and Professional Development: "A program must establish and implement a systematic approach to staff training and professional development designed to assist staff in acquiring or increasing the knowledge and skills needed to provide High Quality, comprehensive services within the scope of their job responsibilities..."
Special instructions
This session will be in the Nolan room. Participants must attend both days for credit. Each team will receive the Ready Bodies Learning Minds books. Please wear comfortable, causal clothes.
